Change in Direction
And, I'm back
So it's been a while. I know. I've been busy. Really busy. I'm back in school after a 3 year break and working two jobs so time has been at a premium. It's very frustrating since I've never been quite so inspired. My head has been full of ideas that I can only get onto paper.
Costuming
If you've looked at my gallery lately, you've seen by now that there have been a lot of illustrations popping up as of late. That's mainly because of school. I've gone back to school to study Costume Design. It's quite the change for me, since I was studying Aerospace engineering before. It's really not as different as you would think , but it'
It's Here!!!
It's here, it's here, it's here!
Can you tell I'm excited? I've been waiting for today for months. Seven of hem to be precise. Today is the day we're leaving for Comic Con. I wish we had been able to get the four day pass, but.... yeah, that didn't happen. So we'll be there the next two days, in awesome costumes. Look for us. It was a kind of crappy, little Janome (the 3128), and I did make it do a lot of stuff that it was never designed or meant to do, so it served me well. Rest in pieces, Janome.
So that brings us to the good news. Courtesy of my parents, I have a new machine. A lot of it was because the shop that was trying to fix my original machine was having a great deal, especially when I used the dead one as a trade in. So I now own a HusqvarnaViking E20, and I
I'm... Done??
Comic Con Costumes
I'm a little confused right now. I have 45 days until my first day at Comic Con, and all four of the costumes are finished. I though I was going to be sewing up to the day before, but either I overestimated the amount of time and fabric my sewing machine was going to consume, or I underestimated my skill as a seamstress. In any case, they're all done. Of course, I have no one to wear them (or if I do, nowhere to take pictures) so that will all have to wait. Now if only I had a dress form....
Gallery
Yes, I know my gallery has been dormant for a while. A lot of it has to do with my time being eaten by the costume sewing
